As Associate Art Director, my role was supporting the Art Director in reviewing art quality and creation workflows with a technical approach.

  • Created and coded the lighting and weather Blueprint in Unreal.

  • This Blueprint controlled Time of Day, Weather, Seasons, Wetness and Dynamic Snow.

  • Photographed and integrated 360 degree HDR skies.

  • Lead the creation and maintenance of the environment materials shader library.

  • Created environment materials that react simultaneously to weather and season conditions.

  • Created benchmark assets in collaboration with the environment artists to use as guide.

  • Documented new techniques and processes

  • Reviewed Levels and Assets.

  • Supported art and technical troubleshooting in many production areas.


As Art Director I continued with most of the tasks above but emphasized the communication with all departments, review of new content and mentoring other artists. I also re-modelled the frontend environment and refreshed the UI

I also increased my involvement in the creation and reviewing of marketing material for Marketplaces and Social campaigns.
